Portugal, Algarve, Canavial Beach
Praia do Canavial is located near Lagos, Portugal. I may say it's a lovely place which I recommend visiting. There are no facilities, restaurants, or shops there. Only naked or partially naked people. Algarve shore is full of picturesque bays with sheer cliffs, but not every bay allows you to enjoy the weather fully naked. Canavial beach is an exception that is worst visiting it for many reasons. I can't say that Portugal is a very FKK-friendly country compared to its neighbor, Spain, so founds like this beach are valuable.
If you decide to visit Praia de Dona Ana with its stunning views, but the weather is too windy there, you can probably hide at Praia do Canavial because of its location. Even if the wind is still there, you can exercise yourself and build a stone wall to protect yourself as I did.
It is not very easy to access the beach. You may leave your car here and then try to find not very safe stairs that help you to get to the desired place.
The nudist part is mainly located on the left side after the stairs. Make sure you wear suitable shoes and are trained enough to climb back. By the way, some sections of the stairs have been ruined, and you must climb on bare rock. It is not as complicated as it sounds. Many mature people visit the beach.
It is crucial to follow the tides schedule when visiting Praia do Canavial! It's elementary to be cut from the beach exit. And if the ocean is cold or waves are high, it is very complicated to go back to stairs without help. It also means that sometimes the beach takes a vast territory. But very often, it consists of only a very narrow send line.
Sometimes, when the water goes away, it opens the cave at the end of the beach. If you're looking for an unusual and very private place, you can use this part of Canavial Beach. It can be a little risky, but if you go thru the cave you'll find a hidden place that looks like a shot from a pirates movie.
You may expect to see not many textiles at the beach. The reason is simple - the beach is hard to reach and hidden. Visitors primarily are prepared enough to understand what kind of beach it is. Enjoy a lack of random guests and a calm environment! Be yourself, be a nudist!
