Italy, Ravenna, Lido di Dante Beach

During my stay in Rimini, Italy, I've visited not so many nudist beaches nearby. Italian people are not very tolerant of nudism, and there are not so many beaches where you stay naked. Many of them are entirely wild and hard to reach.

One of the beaches I visited was "FKK Spiaggia Lido di Dante," which was very long, wide, and beautiful. It is easy to get to the beach by car, but you need to leave it somewhere here - https://goo.gl/maps/BgKUAcREdznQVQfC8. You may expect a lack of free parking space during high season, but locals go to a beach after noon. Just arrive earlier than most of them!

I like to walk nude along beaches, which I also did when I visited Lido di Dante beach. At one "end", it has a metallic fence that can be overcome by water, which everyone does.

After the fence, you can find a more beautiful and clean from people-produced garbage beach, but it is full of other types of natural trash such as sticks, branches, and just some sea-specific things like nets and plastic.

On another side, the nudist part of the beach has an invisible "border" with the textile part. A couple of signs were installed here to say where you can be naked and where you can't.

My shadow on a sand

The interesting thing is that you can see a lot of walking and chilling on sand "textiles" on the naturist side. But when I tried to go back to my parked car naked as far as I could thru the textile side, people shouted and gesticulated very aggressively right after the sign. They did not allow me to make even a few steps defending the territory. In my opinion, this is not fair. Such hostile behavior is not normal and about inequality, especially for a country that produced a lot of art with naked people - statues, paintings, and even biblical motifs.

As there are not many FKK beaches in Italy, every beach attracts different people looking for the sexual side of nakedness. This beach has a significant concentration of exhibitionists and voyeurs. The territory next to "the fence" is a meeting point for gays and swingers. As I was the youngest person walking there, I had a lot of attention from men. They smiled at me, waved their hands, and tried to meet. I had a couple of interesting conversations with guys who offered me a beer, a dinner, a yacht trip, etc.

My girlfriend and I saw a few masturbating men in bushes which seemed funny because at the same time, we saw a few men touching themselves on the beach, and nobody cared. Some of them frankly jerked off. I can't say I support such activities, but nudist life teaches me to be tolerant of others' bodies and hobbies as it's possible.

So I'll definitely not go deeply to this beach with kids. I would recommend stopping somewhere close to the FKK area sign.

I've done some research for you and can say that in 2022 the beach look abandoned and dirty. The broad in the past send line is very narrow nowadays, and there is almost no space to put your towel. Because a lot of sand has been taken by the sea, and also the beach administration moved the metal fence closer and made the beach smaller artificially. Some people even say such changes are the corruption and willingness to take more money from the EU to "save the beach".
