Spain, Barcelona, Mar Bella Beach
Platja de la Mar Bella is a very typical coarse sand beach in Barcelona, but with a focus on gay people. This beach is located a little far(~40 minutes walking) from the well-known Barceloneta beach and district. It's better to use a taxi or public transport to get to it. You can use some basic facilities the whole year such as showers and the cafe.
It is officially a nudist beach, but everyone is welcomed. You can be naked everywhere on its territory except on the cafe terrace. But for some reason, it's also a popular place for "textiles". I can't say it's an FKK beach only. It's more a "clothes-optional" place, a mix of naked and dressed bodies. But, anyway, it's a very good idea to have one more spot for naturists in such a big megapolis like Barcelona. Attending this beach doesn't give you the feeling of being in a reservation or exile because of its location.
This naturist place is not about privacy at all. It is located very close to the busy promenade. Especially the location of showers makes you exhibit yourself to the crowd. You can enjoy the situation or be irritated, but you have to take a shower naked in front of the gapers. Some "nudists" rub their balls incredibly diligently, attracting too much attention, if you know what I mean... A gay beach is a place for tolerance for everyone.
Gay friendliness of the beach means some specific events during the year and the cafe with a specific name. But, you can see straight couples, singles, and even families with kids attending this beach.
