Spain, Valencia, Almarda Nudist/Naturist Beach
The huge sign right after the beach entrance

This post was written not from my distant memories. I visited this place a week ago, so all my information is as fresh as possible. In my opinion, this nudist beach has the most relaxed atmosphere in the Valencia region, and it is worth visiting with kids. I was also surprised by the number of females there. Also, most of the beach visitors were younger than 40 years which is fairly unusual in Europe.

It is pretty easy to reach the nudist part of the beach of Almarda(Playa Nudista) by car. It has wide and not crowded parking along the shore. While driving you can even find signs(Nudist Beach ->) that will guide you to the right place. I embedded the Google Maps widget to show you how easy to park near the beach.

It has some basic facilities such as toilets and foot showers. It is strange to me why there are no regular showers. Also, the lifeguard tower is there for your safety. But the tower does not cover all the beach line which is really long.

Do not forget to sign up because very soon I'll start posting some hidden information and media.

The cleanliness of the water there should be mentioned. While other parts of the Valencia region are suffering from water pollution, this beach has not perfect but clean sea. A mix of stones and sand is very rare for the area, making this place a nice find for those tired of the dusty sand and plastic trash of Saler beaches.

As usual, I had a naked walk across the beach, and I can say that textiles feel not very comfortable here(ha-ha). As many of them think it's a good idea to intrude on the nudist area, naked people do not hesitate to do the same. At the end of the day, the beach becomes a wholly mixed or clothes-optional place. And at the same time, I did not notice any sexual or exhibitionist behavior!

Stones and sand

But after 6 p.m., many fishers come to all beaches, and the nudist beach in Almarda is not an exception. They lay out fishing tackle to let you understand that you are not welcome here. As a result, the feeling of unity with nature disappears, and the atmosphere becomes less relaxed. Anyway, it looks like many nudists continue staying there as a protest or just don't care like I am. But the number of fishermen is higher than on other beaches where I have been. Could this have been a coincidence?

Beach exit

I think I'll go back to this newly discovered to my place again not because it's the best naturist place in the world. But I liked its atmosphere, an unusual mix of sand and stones, and its visitors.

Make sure you bring all that you need because there is no big supermarket or beach cafe nearby.
