Stepping into this exceptional nudist haven always sparks a special kind of joy in me. Every return visit brings about a fresh wave of excitement. Just a stone's throw away from the beach, there's a nudist campsite that comes alive during the peak seasons. This site offers handy amenities like invigorating showers, welcoming cafes, and watchful lifeguards. But keep in mind, the campsite springs into action only in late April, and until then, the beach remains beautifully wild, possessing its own set of charms and challenges.
What's truly captivating about this place is its constant transformation. I witness how nature and human care continuously refresh the landscape with each visit. The beach is ever-changing under nature's hands, and the dedicated staff at the campsite and cafes ensure a clean and safe environment.
An old, non-operational railroad near the beach and campsite add an element of historical charm. Though it no longer serves its original purpose, it has become a unique spot for memorable photo sessions. Its silent tracks today stand as a testament to the spirited local community who voiced their concerns and protected this natural jewel.
Visiting the beach
Truly understanding the magic of this beach requires immersing yourself in its tranquil charm. There are three gateways to this paradise, one of which is like a secret handshake, familiar only to those who have treaded these sands repeatedly.
If you're a first-timer seeking the easiest route, start by parking your car near the El Templo del Sol entrance. Then, it's a simple matter of walking parallel to the sea, keeping the rhythm of the waves as your guide. Before long, you'll spot a set of stairs, your final cue that you've arrived at this exceptional destination.
So, go ahead and unlock this door to a world of natural wonder and relaxation. It's an experience like no other, waiting just a few steps away.
The brief walk to the beach is a sensory delight! The stunning panoramas of the azure sea and the intoxicating scent of pine are bound to uplift your spirits. There's something special about this aroma that seems exclusive to areas south of the Tarragona region; it's a unique fragrance that I haven't encountered anywhere else.
As you approach, you'll notice that the nearest part of the beach often hosts a carpet of dead algae. However, don't let this deter you. Despite its algae residents, this particular bay serves as a natural shield against the strong winds that occasionally sweep across the coastline. So, keep this unique alcove in mind!
To your right, you'll observe the campsite, a private sanctuary reserved for its guests. While the camping grounds are off-limits unless you're staying there, you're free to continue your leisurely walk through the enthralling forest to its farthest end.
And here's the liberating part: you can make this entire journey in the nude! The beach, the embracing forest, and the surrounding territory form a veritable nudist paradise. Based on my personal exploration, I've demarcated the nudist oasis with a red marker. Many adventurers choose to leave their clothes behind in their cars or even arrive ready to embrace naturism, keen to enjoy a nude walk from the very beginning. Remember, comfort is key, so wear sturdy or hike-appropriate footwear for your trek.
The forest doesn't just serve as the backdrop to this nudist haven; it's also part of an extensive network of hiking trails, inviting explorers to delve deeper into its verdant heart. Cafes or Chiringuitos
Another delightfully eccentric aspect of this beach is the two chiringuitos (beach cafes), nestled slightly apart from each other. One cafe plays hide-and-seek amidst the lush greenery, a tad removed from the primary one. However, a leisurely stroll through the beach's verdant forest will lead you to both.
The discovery of these cafes was nothing short of a revelation for me. Imagine basking in the beach's natural beauty, savoring simple, hearty meals and refreshing drinks, all while in your birthday suit! Surrounded by equally jovial patrons, either similarly unclothed or donning swimwear, these cafes offer a wonderfully liberating experience.
Over my numerous visits, I've found myself amidst a sea of fellow naturists of all ages or, on occasion, the sole nude patron in the cafe. But no matter the crowd, I've always felt wholly at ease, even thrilled, by the unapologetic celebration of nudity and the overall camaraderie here. It's a testament to the infectious joy and acceptance that fills the air in this unique beachside haven.
To maintain hygiene, it's a good practice to unfold your towel on your seat before you sit down. This little act may seem trivial, but it significantly ensures cleanliness, comfort, and respect for shared spaces.
